These pictures show the whimsey of nature contrasted with the skill of a wood carver. Nature submits a twisted ivy stalk and the wood carver submits an oak bed post. The oak sample is much stronger with exact measurements. Nature can produce twisted ivy stalks all day long without a break.
We are thinking about incorporating the ivy into a lamp stand. Maybe the old oak post will make a lamp stand too. We have left over twisted ivy in our wood inventory if you’re interested in samples.
